Worth seeing places in Pakistan

From the steep peaks of the Karakoram Mountains to the bountiful Indus River, Pakistan is home to a variety of stunning geographies. While its rich artistic heritage, the ancient Silk Road, and the remains of Daro continue to enchant travelers, the adventure continues to disappoint and discover the lesser-known nature of Pakistan.

Deosai National Park

Known as the “Land of Titans”, the backdrop of snow-capped mountains rises from the alpine tableau of Deosai National Park. Each spring, this lush valley is swept with wildflowers and rare butterflies, earning the locals the name “Summer Palace” as they enjoy the wildlife after the thaw has stopped. This biodiversity hotspot is home to the Tibetan wolf, Himalayan ibex, Tibetan red fox, and golden marmots, but the government granted the estate protected status in 1993 to look after the critically endangered Himalayan brown bear. The estate was belted by glaciers and gorges for World Heritage status in 2016.

Kaghan Valley

The graphic Kaghan Valley in northern Pakistan is a place of puck stories. According to one interpretation of the original legendary home of Gilgit-Baltistan, ice sheets stretch over the Hunza River. The city of Hunza, located on the beach and surrounded by glaciers and gorges, has traditionally served as a sleeping place for travelers descending from the Hindu Kush Mountains to the Kashmir valley. The valley is home to snow leopards, markhors, ibex, and red-tailed foxes.

Hingol National Park

Pakistan’s largest public estate stretches over hundreds of long stretches along the Makran coast. While Hingol National Park is known for its diverse wildlife — Sindh leopards, chinkaras, honey badgers, and Indian penguins — it is perhaps best known for its cluster of active mudflats. The hot spring’s efforts mixing gas and water chemically react with the surrounding gems to create a boiling slurry. As the slush is pushed out, it constantly renews the cones, which are continuously eroded.
